Credit cards will always be considered that tool which brought a living condition much beyond means available to people in India. These provide the opportunity to make high value purchases and then delay or spread the payment over a period of time.

The state bank of India is one of the largest banks in India. It has a number of offerings in credit cards which are:

SBI Signature Card:

This is a card with joining fee of Rs.4999 and a welcome gift of the same value. It also has an annual fee of Rs.4999/-. SBI Platinum Card:

It offers 5 times the amount spent at on all expenses at groceries, departmental stores, restaurants and international spends as reward points. Twice the amount as reward points are there for other purchases. It also offers free lounge access.

SBI Student Plus Advantage Card:

It offers one reward point for each 100 rupees spent. This card is available only to SBI education loan users. If annual purchases exceed Rs.35000/- then the annual fees is waived off. For transactions between 500-3000 rupees at petrol pumps fuel surcharge of 2.5% waiver can be secured.
